The Geneology Tree of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible.
The chart is the genealogy of Jesus Christ as stated in King James Bible. It was solely researched and developed by the artist Cookie between 2009 to 2015
Jesus is the 60th generation from Adam on Joseph side of the family tree. Rehoboam and Nathan were Solomon’s sons. Rehoboam was Joseph’s distant great-grandfather and Nathan was Mary’s distant great-grandfather. Therefore, Joseph and Mary were distant cousins.
In order to decipher who was who in the Bible, the artist formulated a spreadsheet to keep track of the individuals in the Bible while writing the book “Sister Lou, Sister Lou and Brother Too; GOD TOLD YOU SO!
This spreadsheet is comprised of the ages of the forefathers when they were born, had their first prominent child and died. This information along with the following two main references provided a formula used in the chart in order to determine the dates:
A reference from the “King James Study Bible, written by Thomas Nelson, Inc., 1981” which provided the date significant 931 BC as the date when Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, reign as King.
Another reference from the Bible verse 1 Kings 6:1, provides the year of the Exodus of the Jewish people out of Egypt. And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
The chart is broken down into five periods showing who was present during those periods:
Ancient Biblical Times, The Flood, Twelve Tribes of Israel and the beginning of the Kings
Exile to Babylon, The following period before the Deliverance of Jesus Christ.
